The Learning Curve Finishing School for Teachers (FST) can groom you to be an effective teacher. You will receive focused, individual attention and are trained on the myriad aspects of the art and science of teaching.

FST is brought to you by Learning Innovations (LI), an enterprise promoted by BASE. LI offers a range of solutions to the educational sector, which includes teachers training and consulting. To offer the FST program, LI draws upon the resources and leadership perspective of BASE .

BASE, founded in 1991 by Dr. H.S. Nagaraja, is today a vibrant organization focused on educational services, with a wide range of offerings. In student training, BASE offers programs for IIT-JEE, AIEEE, Medical Entrance Examinations and CET, apart from a host of training programs for students from Class V to +2 level. About FST

The LI Finishing School for Teachers can enable you to become an effective teacher in a school or a PU college.
Content: Various aspects of teacher training will be covered. These include:
- Subject matter content and delivery
- Classroom management
- Student mentoring
- Parent engagement
- Child psychology
- Mentoring/ counselling

For High School Teachers
Subjects taught: Science, Mathematics, English and Social Studies
Duration: 300 hours
- 100 hours of content enhancement training
- 30 hours of skill enhancement training
- 170 hours of practical training

For PU Teachers
Subjects taught: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology
Duration: 250 hours
- 30 hours of skill enhancement training
- 220 hours of content enhancement & practical training

Methodology
FST is a rigorous program that involves assignments, reading, sit-throughs and demos. The evaluation is comprehensive and continuous. Feedback and mentoring sessions will highlight the strengths and weaknesses of students.

Who Can Attend
- Graduates/Post-graduates aspiring to become school/PU teachers
- 0-5 years experience
- B.Ed. degree not essential

Delivery Options
FST program will be conducted at BASE, and is available in 2 options:
- Full-time Program: 3 months.
Convenient for fresh graduates/post-graduates
- Part-time Program: 6 months (conducted over weekends) Convenient for working professionals

Practical Hands-on Teacher Training
What makes the FST program very different is its strong practical orientation. Every trainee will be an understudy to a senior professor at BASE. Trainees will also be involved in setting question papers and correcting answer scripts. There will be continuous assessment and grading. The entire process gives the trainees the opportunity to absorb the finer aspects of teaching.

LI Certified Teacher
Every successful trainee will receive a certificate as a LI Certified Teacher.

Placement Assistance
Placement assistance is provided to all successful trainees of FST program.
